The International Air Express Association of Bangladesh (IAEAB) consists of two categories of Members – (a) Ordinary Member and (b) Associate Member.
(a) Ordinary Member:
Companies those who have taken initiative to form the Association and also engaged in Air Express trade will be honored as Ordinary Member as well as permanent member. They will get minimum of one third reserved seat in the Executive Committee.
(b) Any Company/Organization in Air Express Trade having at least network within minimum of three (3) countries operating by Air, qualified as a Permanent Member.
Member(s), Firm(s), Company (ies) or any other entity whether incorporated or not shall be individually, jointly or severely liable for payment of subscription and other dues in respect of membership of the Association. The Executive Committee may refuse any application for admission to the membership of the Association without assigning any reason(s) and such decision of the Executive Committee shall be final.
A candidate may submit an application for membership on the prescribed form along with application fee of Tk.2,000/- (non refundable) by Account Payee Cheque in favour of International Air Express Association of Bangladesh with all the required documents such as – a letter from the Principal, remittance permission from the Board of Investment, Trade License, VAT registration certificate, tax index number (TIN) and network information etc. being duly proposed and seconded by one permanent member of the Association to the President of the Association. Upon receipt of admission form and subscription fee and after examination, the application will be forwarded with comments by the President and the General Secretary to the Executive Committee for decision within maximum of 60 days. The effective date of the membership will be counted from the date Executive Committee decides such membership will case.
• The Membership of a firm, company or organization shall be ceased in the event of (a) Change of ownership, (b) Change of International Network, (c) Change in the main objectives of the entity unless such changes have had received approval of the Executive Committee and (d) Overdue more than six months of monthly subscriptions of the Association (subscription will be decided by the Executive Committee from time to time).
• A member who desires to resign from the membership shall have to serve 30 days notice to the President in writing. However, such resignation will not absolve the member from payment of its outstanding dues to the Association.
• A member shall cease to be a member of the Association – (a) if it fails to pay the monthly subscription within 6 months from the month of due, (b) If the Registration/License/Certificate issued by the Government is not renewed or cancelled at the time of seeking renewal of membership of the Association, membership of such firm, company will be cased if such member can not obtain renewal of the Registration/License/Certificate b appealing within 180 (one hundred eighty) days only and (c) If the international network of the Principal is cancelled or terminated, the Agency/Partnership, such membership will automatically be forfeited/cancelled/withdrawn.
• Admission fee for Membership will be Tk.250,000.00, Association Development Fee TK. 5,00,000.00 (Local) and the yearly subscription shall be Tk. 20,000/- unless otherwise decided by the Association in a General Meeting.
• Application Fee for admission of Tk.20,000/- is non-refundable.
POWER OF THE OFFICE BEARERS OF THE ASSOCIATION
1.THE PRESIDENT
The President shall be the Chief of the Association. He shall, whenever possible, preside over all meeting, issue statement on policy matters on behalf of the Association and lead usual deputation and delegations if otherwise not decided by the Executive Committee. He shall address the General Meeting and shall perform such other duties as may be incidental to the office of the President. The President shall preserve order counting hands or any other method decided by the houses and declares the result. The financial power of the President will be Tk.10,000/-= from contingencies accounts subject to the approval of the Executive Committee in its next meeting.
2. GENERAL SECRETARY
a. The General Secretary shall manage & organize the affairs of the Association and do all such things that may be incidental, give notice of all meeting of the Association and the Executive Committee.
b. He will duly circulate removal, expulsion or resignation of any person, prepare the Annual Report of the Association in consultation with the Executive Committee.
c. He shall circulate among the members, the Annual Reports, all Notice and other information for the purpose of circulation and generally perform all such duties as are incidental to his office.
d. The General Secretary will carry on the day to day work of the Association in consultation with the President, if necessary.
e. The General Secretary is allowed to spend up to Tk.1,000/- for meeting the office contingencies during the month which is to be approved in the next Executive Committee Meeting.
